Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

Angel Tree Outreach (Seasonal)

Angel Tree is a program of Prison Fellowship that connects parents in prison with their children through the delivery of Christmas gifts. In most cases, local church volunteers purchase and deliver gifts and the Gospel to children in the name of their prisoner-parent.

Evangelism Team

In the area of Evangelism here at Faith Community Church, we believe that it is not just limited to an activity, but also, to a lifestyle.  There are those with the gift or burden of Evangelism and those may desire to become part of the Evangelism Team.  We also believe that every Christian has the responsibility by God’s Grace, to develop a mindset in obedience to God, to reflect a lifestyle of verbal and non-verbal testimony for The Lord Jesus Christ, in a world, in desperate need of His Life-giving message. (2 Corinthians 5:18-21, Matthew 28:18-20).  Evangelism and Discipleship is carried out locally and globally, to God’s Glory, ( Acts 1: 8)

We endeavor to carry out discipleship through the mediums of preaching, teaching, cell-groups and other modes of ministry opportunities.  However, we believe that the most effective means of discipleship, is life on life ministry, as modeled by the Lord Jesus Christ and the Apostles in the Word of God. (Luke 6:13, Luke 9:1, II Timothy 2:2, Matthew 28:18-20) Biblical Discipleship must be as Dr. David A. Dewitt states: Intentional- a determined mind-set to carry it out, Impacting- Trusting God to change one’s values, virtues, beliefs and life-style,  Personal- dealing with a person on a individual and personal level, resulting in Christlikeness.

Children’s Ministry
Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of our church is recognized for their meaningful interaction with kids.

Hearts of Grace (Women’s Group)
Women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men of Faith

We call ourselves the “Men of Faith” because He who called us is faithful. Our desire is to plan Christ centered events that men & their sons can be involved in that will build us up spiritually, unite us as brothers, and strengthen the body of Christ. Weather it’s a conference, a fishing trip, or a ball game, we want to honor Christ.

By God’s grace, we want to be men that come along side of each other and hold one another accountable to love the Lord our God, love our wives and family, and keep short accounts with sin.

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17

Missions

Faith Community Church is committed to sharing the Gospel of Christ by reaching out to its local community and around the globe—— Every member of Faith Community Church is committed by covenant to share the gospel by both godly living and verbal witness. Every member is also involved in global outreach – some through short-term vision trips—but all by their prayers and financial giving. This balance between local and global evangelization is reflected in the financial structure of our church as well as in our missionary families and organizations that we support.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Faith Community Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, before morning service begins, designated prayer time is set aside when we pray for the pastor, the morning worship service, needs of the church, and for each other. Throughout the week, members come together informally to pray for these same needs and for any special requests.

Small Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small Bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve people. At a time designated by your group leader you can participate in the small group study.
